How jobs and work orders work
Raise a job from anywhere
Anyone you allow can raise a job in the OpsChase app or a browser. Pick the site and area, describe the fault, add a photo and set the priority. Services that fall due on your assets raise their own jobs.
Assign it to the right person
Give the job to someone on your own team, or send it to one of your contractors in OpsChase. You see when it’s confirmed and who is attending, without a phone call to find out.
Schedule it around the site
Set a due date and a time window that suits the site, such as before opening or after close. Jobs sit beside your rosters, so you can see who is on shift before you book the work.
Track every status
Each job shows where it is: new, assigned, confirmed, in progress, waiting on parts or done. Overdue jobs stand out, and notes and messages stay on the job instead of in an inbox.
Proof before it closes
Choose the proof each type of job needs, such as photos, a checklist, a signature or a certificate. The job can’t close until that proof is attached.
History you can look back on
Every closed job keeps its photos, notes, times and who did the work. The next person can see what was done at that site, on that asset, and when.
A job list for each site, one view across all of them
Each site gets its own list of open, scheduled and overdue jobs, sorted by priority and due date. Head office sees every site on one board and can open any job to see its status, notes and proof.

Jobs questions, answered
- Can we use jobs and work orders on their own?
- Yes. Switch on jobs and work orders by itself, then add rosters, assets or compliance later on the same login.
- What is the difference between a job and a work order?
- In OpsChase they are the same record. A work order holds what needs doing, where, who is doing it, by when and the proof it closed with.
- What proof can a job require?
- Photos, a checklist, a signature or a certificate, set per job type. The job can’t close until the proof you require is attached.
- Can we see jobs across all our sites?
- Yes. Each site has its own job list, and one view shows open and overdue jobs across every site, with the status of each.
- How is it priced?
- OpsChase is priced per site, from A$79 per site / month, and a site can be a depot or base. Book a demo or talk to us for an exact quote.
